While doing my grocery shopping the other day I came across these pomegranates.
They bring back memories from when I was little,
especially memories of my dad and that's always good.
It's not a fruit you see every day, so I thought I'd buy some
and why not take some photo's of them.
I think they'll look good framed in my kitchen:)

This afternoon, for the first time ever. Both my 5 year old AND my 2 year old joined me for an outride........
It was so awesome, Kirsty rode "her" little 78cm pony Shorty, while Linda lead her/them. Nicole rode her pony Tonto and I rode my trusty Silhoeet. I must have been the happiest mom on the planet for those 45 minutes. I have these awesome images etched in my mind
Life is good!

I posted this photo on my facebook page and received a whole heap of comments about the fact that I was finally in a photo.
This is true and it's a problem.
While I'm so focused on capturing my children's lives in photo's as memories for them, I'm not including myself in these memories. I'm sure they're going to want to see where I fitted into their lives as well, see that I was part of their experiences and not only the observer....
I spent a day with Nicole at her school earlier this year and while I did a whole heap of things with her during the day, I also spent a large part of that time taking photo's of her, her friends and of other parents playing with their children.
Now that I think about it, would she not have preferred me playing with her, rather than photographing her......
Mmm something to ponder on
